Arden's Summer Vacation

While Ryan and I were spending the week in Hawaii, Arden got a vacation of her own. She traveled with her Mimi and Pop to their house for a week of fun and being spoiled rotten.

I never once had to worry about her while we were away. I would be lying if I didn't say that I missed her a bunch though.

Arden was happy to see us but sure had a BLAST with her Mimi and Pop in New Orleans!

Arden is 18 months!

It feels like just yesterday that we were bringing this little baby home. The last year and a half have flown by. What fun we have had!

Arden started school on Monday. Since I'm not back at work yet, I'm having her go Monday, Wednesday, Friday for a few weeks to get back into the routine and give mommy a little break. I LOVE her new teachers and know that she enjoys being back with her friends.

Here is Arden on her first day of school!

Arden's Favorites:

• Being outside
• Being with her Extended Family
• Her babies and monkey (she sleeps with a couple each night)
• Animals (especially fish, ducks, monkeys, and dogs)
• Playing with other kids
• Watching TV
• Songs and Nursery Rhymes
• Playing with balls
• Riding in her fleet of cars
• Going to, "Bouncing Bears"
• Swimming
• Teasing TJ with food and toys
• Being silly with Daddy (they have their own language: nunga-na)
• Climbing
• Dancing to Katy Perry and Bella Dancerella
• Books (just for the pictures)
• Brushing her teeth (she knows where my toothbrush and her toothbrush is and will bring either to Ryan and I and yell, "teeth" when she wants to brush. 

Arden's Dislikes:

• Having her diaper changed (she is just too busy)
• Having to go inside
• Getting dressed
• Being in her car seat, high-chair, or stroller too long
• Being contained
• Having something that she shouldn't be playing with taken away

Arden's Naughty Moments:

• Climbing onto the dining room and kitchen table
• Throwing food from her high chair (usually to TJ)
• Getting into my make-up
• Eating TJ's food
• Not sitting down in a shopping cart
• Not sitting down in her high chair when out to eat
• Pouring milk from her sippy cup on the floor, herself, or in the car on purpose
• Screaming when we don't get her milk or juice fast enough
• Throwing herself on the floor and screaming when we have to go inside

Arden's Favorite Foods:

• Raisins (probably her favorite)
• Pizza
• Goldfish
• Dried Apple Chips
• Hot Dog
• Pistaccios
• Broccoli (we call them trees)
• Shrimp
• Beans
• Cereal 
• Smoothie
• Spaghetti
• Peaches
• M&M's
• Popsicles

She has also been intruded to spicy food and likes it!

Milestones:

• Two word phrases (play outside, dada car, mama bye-bye, baby night-night, and more)
• VERY verbal! She says new words everyday (knows well over 100 words)
• Throw and kick a ball
• Knows most body parts
• Repeats, "please and thank you"
• Does pike, straddle, and butterfly in gymnastics
• Follows simple directions (sometimes...)

She is so much fun and we love her to the moon and back!

A day at the FARM!

On Saturday, we took Arden to 7 Acre Farms. 

Arden loved petting, feeding, and seeing all the animals! If it wasn't so hot out, we could have stayed all day.

We had to get a pink cone and feed this guy too! Just sprinkle a little food to lure them over.

Then, Arden took off with the food and had a couple goats chased her. They finally got it.

 Have you ever been kissed by a llama? Well I have!

This little white baby goat was so cute. Arden liked petting her.

It was hard telling all the animals bye, so we told them, "see you again soon!"
