A weekend getaway to San Antonio was just what we needed!
We had so much fun stopping along the way in Shiner, TX to take a tour of the Shiner Beer Factory. It just so happened to be a gorgeous day!
Arden was so good and enjoyed stretching her legs and playing with Ryan's sample cup.
The brewery was out in the country on some really pretty land
After the brewery we had to stop at this hole-in-the-wall restaurant that is said to have the best food around. We agreed. It was pretty darn good!
Then...onto San Antonio
The next morning, we headed out to get some Mexican brunch at the very popular Mi Tierra. I can't even begin to tell you how good my meal was. The desserts were not only beautiful but tasted delish! I couldn't choose just one, so I picked out several goodies. The coconut macaroon was my favorite!
Market Square
We took the trolley to the Alamo for a tour...
The Veteran's Day Parade
We even took a stroll down the River Walk
Such a pretty church
That evening, we headed to our friend's Brent and Lindsay's house to celebrate their daughter Kaylee's 1st Birthday!
Lots of new toys to play with...
On our drive back to Houston, we stopped at this place for some BBQ. I had the best bread pudding ever!
What a fun trip to San Antonio! Next time, we will be sure to hit up Sea World...
