Age: 1 year
Weight: 19 lbs. 7oz (25-50 percentile)
Height: 28.75" (25-50 percentile)
She is repeating so many words that she hears these days, but these are the words that she knows the meaning and uses on her own:
- Mama (Mum-mum)
- Dada (sometimes daddy)
- TJ
- ball
- bottle (Bobbie)
- Dog
- Baby
- Hi
- Bye bye
- Tickle, tickle, tickle
She has become a VERY picky eater. It is frustrating! One day she will like a food and the next she is gagging at the site of it. Here are some foods that she will eat most days...
- Ham
- Cheese
- Bread
- Gold Fish
- Oatmeal
- Applesauce
- Apple, banana, veggie, and cheese puffs
- Banana
- Yogurt
- Cake
Arden is finally loving playing with her toys. She is beginning to leave behind her cords for more age appropriate toys. Here are some things that she is enjoying these days...
- Ball Pit
- Riding in her Fisher Price outdoor car
- Playing outside with pine needles
- Tea Set (she even takes pretend sips from the cups and offers some to me too)
- Trampoline
- Playing under the bar stools
- Hippo ball shoot
- Llama Llama Red Pajama Book
- Climbing on and sitting on her rocking chair
- All of her bath toys
- Exploring the house (cabinets, closets, bathrooms, etc.)
- Being tickled and tickling others
- Books
- Curious George and Cat in the Hat TV shows
- Baby Einstein DVD's
She also loves watching and playing with older kids. She points and says, "baby" when she sees a baby or kid. Arden also loves being outside as well as cuddling with her mom in the leather chair.
Things Arden dislikes:
- Cold Milk
- Being put in and out of her car seat
- Veggies and most meat
- Putting on and taking off clothes
- Going down for a nap
- Being hungry/thirsty (she will chant, "bobby")
Arden sleeps from 8:00pm-6:30am and naps an average of 3 hours a day. I wish she would take more consistent naps, but with my work schedule I wake her up picking her up from school and sometimes she doesn't go back to sleep. She is usually still in a good mood even when she doesn't get a good nap.
We have loved every minute of having little Ms. Arden apart of our lives! She makes us so proud every time she learns something new and we look forward to many more milestones this year!
