Italy Part 2: Venice

Our second major stop was Venice. I just love being on the water! It was such a unique city with lots of charm. Ryan and I wondered around most days. We were always lost as we winded through the many canals, but it is a great city to get lost in.

Italy Part 1: Tuscany and Florence

Ryan and I spent two weeks traveling through Italy in June. It was a trip of a lifetime. We saw so much and enjoyed spending a lot of time together. Here is a sample of the pictures we took from Tuscany and Florence. I will post Venice, the Amalfi Coast, and Rome later.

The Leaning Tower of Pizza...I mean Pisa

Lunch in the Tuscan countryside. We even sampled some wine :)

Ryan eating gelato at the Piazza Del Campo in Siena. His first of many.

Lovely dinner enjoying Florentine food!

The Statue of David. I'm keeping it "G" rated by covering his naughty bits.

The Duomo is the heart of Florence. We went to mass and toured the cathedral and tower. I was even chosen to help with the collection during mass. The most amazing church!

View from the top of the Duomo. We walked up a million steps to take this picture. Breathtaking!

Tuscany and Florence were beautiful and that was just the beginning of our Italy tour...

The Frank's 4th Annual Crawfish Boil

Me and Holly

Mom and Chris

Me and my Mamma

Well, so far I'm off to a slow start on this blog thing. We have had such an exciting and busy summer so far.

We had our 4th Annual Crawfish Boil in May and it was a great time! We had a huge turn out and even had some out of town guests come for the big event. My mom and Chris came from New Orleans and Hank and Holly came all the way from Oklahoma City. We loved having them here.

We didn't even make a dent with the crawfish and beer....tons of leftovers. Ryan did a great job boiling all the crawfish, veggies, and potatoes. He has become quite the professional.
