Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo 2012

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is always the official kick-off to Spring for me.

Rodeo food it to dye for. It is tasty. It is greasy. It is expensive. It is worth it!

Look at all these fried options!

This fried twinkie was pretty incredible...

I can not come to the rodeo without visiting with my little friends over at the petting zoo

Llama llama

Another one of my favorite spots...Breed Row Barn and Birthing Center
Check out all the little and not so little baby farm animals!

Billy the Goat

The Rodeo (actually my least favorite part)!

Bull Riding

Calf Scramble

Some cow beauty contest?? I don't get it...

I guess these cows are a really big deal.

Then, the wonderful band "Train" came all the way to Houston for our entertainment.
It was a great show!

Well, another fun year at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo!

Spring Break

We had such a nice Spring Break this year. The highlight was going on a road trip with my Aunt Nancy and Meredith to visit our family in New Orleans. We had a lot of fun just hanging out and being outside!

Checking out the ducks in Mom and Chris's back yard

We got to celebrate my cousin Kim's birthday!

Arden loves her Mimi! She sang and rocked her to sleep each night!

The next day we spent the late morning through early afternoon at the park

Turtle Island
Did you notice all those turtles??

How cute are these baby ducks?

Here come the black swans!

More of the baby ducks and the protective mama

Then we headed back to my mom's and Chris took Meredith and I in the back yard to hit a few balls. I enjoy a little bit of golf on a nice day

What a wonderful Spring Break in New Orleans!
