Our Austin Adventure

I was so excited that we bought tickets to the UT/TTU game but was even more excited that we were getting to spend the weekend with Lisa and Kyle in Austin!

Ryan and I left on Friday and made a pit stop in Brenham to visit Blue Bell Creamery. We sampled fresh Tiramisu, Krazy Kookie, Cinnamon, and Blue Berry Cobbler ice cream.
YUM!

After checking into our hotel and meeting up with Lisa and Kyle, we enjoyed dinner at Home Slice Pizza and had even more food from Austin's finest food trucks.

Lisa's friends invited us for a pre-game tailgate.

We cheered on the Red Raiders! Unfortunately, we didn't cheer loud enough...

After the game, we walked along Congress Street to check out the Capitol Building

We stood on Congress Bridge waiting....and waiting...and waiting for the 1.5 million bats to fly from underneath the bridge. They never did :(

We even managed to drag our tired selves out to 6th Street

It was a very fun and exhausting weekend!

Halloween Fun!

You cannot have a proper Halloween without treats. Here are some things I made for the Halloween party and trick-or-treaters

Mummy Dogs

Treats for the kiddos

Pumpkin Bread

Our friends hosted a Halloween party for kids. It took a little while for Arden to warm up. Ha!

My friend Amber made these yummy Frankenstein cakes. Too cute!

She clung to Ryan in the bounce house

Pumpkin Crafts

Darling Raggedy Ann-alee!

Arden had a Halloween Parade at school where she wore her costume. We also did a little Trick-or-treating in our neighborhood that evening.

She only got about 4 treats! Hehe. I guess that's not too bad for not having any teeth. Hopefully she will do better next year...
